Brain Break is an educational screen-time management app that turns device access into a learning opportunity. Instead of simply limiting screen time, it gently interrupts free use with a short, age-appropriate quiz — a "brain check" — that children must pass before their free time resumes. Quizzes adapt to each child's level across four age bands (3–7, 8–10, 11–13, and 14+), and when a child struggles, Brain Break serves a reinforcing educational video followed by a short quiz on what they just watched — so they can't simply set the phone down and wait it out; they have to show they were paying attention before free time resumes. Access begins with a one-time pairing: a parent shares a 6-digit family code from their Parent Dashboard, which unlocks the child's playground — games, My Space, Quiz Buddy, and more — so nothing is ever reachable without a parent's go-ahead. Beyond the video, kids get a full interactive toolkit to deepen what they're learning: skill-building games, a Study Buddy and Quiz Buddy AI companion, flashcards, reading lessons with built-in activities, and tutor-built lessons that turn study time into a hands-on experience for growing sharper, more curious minds.
It is built for families with children ages three through high school. Parents configure subjects, timers, rewards, and emergency contacts from a PIN-protected dashboard, and they can even tell Focus Buddy the exact topic, era, or unit their child is studying in class so every quiz stays tightly aligned with schoolwork. Tutors publish lessons and offer sessions through a verified marketplace, and teachers connect whole classrooms with class codes to broadcast assignments and monitor progress alongside parents.
